The safety of your child is our primary concern. Precautions will be taken for their well-being and protection. Please be rest assured that all of our volunteers have filled out an application, have been screened, and have taken our Plan to Protect training.

While every precaution is taken for the safety and good health of all participating at Rocky Railway Summer Camp, some games and activities carry with them the inherent risk of personal injury beyond the risks associated with much of the recreational nature of the activities at Erindale Alliance Church.

You can help us minimize these risks by sending your child in weather appropriate and active play wear clothing. We will be playing the morning away and if the weather allows, we will be outside for part of the morning. Please apply sunscreen and bug repellent before leaving home. Also, please send your children with running shoes or sandals with buckles/secured velcro straps (no flip-flops, crocs, or dawgs please!) Secure footwear helps us to run safely while we play.

COVID
Although we will make every effort to abide by current Saskatchewan Covid-19 restrictions of groups of people, due to the nature of the event and having young children present who may not follow all protocol, attending this event will be at your own risk. Erindale Alliance Church is not liable for any health risks or transmission of sickness that could occur.

If you are feeling unwell, have a fever or cough, we ask that you please refrain from attending. If you have plans to travel outside of Saskatchewan less than 14 days previous to your chosen Fun Day, we ask that you please refrain from registering.

PARENT/GUARDIAN FAQ

  • Will my child be safe? We will do our best to keep children from separate households 2m apart and stick with the Day Camp guidelines set out for us from the Government of Saskatchewan. We will be adjusting protocol if guidelines change from the province and will update our policies accordingly.
  • How will you enforce social distancing? We’ll have the kids from separate households spaced apart for games and while sitting for stories etc. as best we can. If a child is struggling to stay apart, we’ll have a 'personal bubble hoola-hoop' to help them out!
  • What happens if my child needs to use the washroom while at camp? Our washrooms will be available to use during our time together. However, our water fountains will not be usable during COVID restrictions.
  • Does my child/ren need to bring anything? Be sure they are dressed and prepared for the weather as we plan to spend time outside (play clothes and running shoes are a great idea!). Also, please have your child bring their own water bottle.
  • Can my child/ren bring a friend? If there is space, a friend can attend.  However, they will need to register before attending.  Please contact Erin Petty, our Summer Camp Director, for more information.
